Peacefully in the early hours of the morning on October 27, 2021, Roy Donald Selig, in his 86th year.

Loving husband of the late Arla (nee Bates). Father to Bob (Beth), Brenda (Carter), Shelley (Keltie) and Jennifer Portch (David).  Stepfather to Susan Mallah (Zolf), John Munro (Helen) and Nancy Mallah (Zikko).  Roy was extremely proud of his entire extended family, which included many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  Pre-deceased by his dear sister Dorothy (Dot) Kaye (Richard). 

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Dr. David Hood and his team, Grace and Rosemary for their years of unmatched care and dedication.  They would also like to thank the staff of Trinity Studios Retirement Home for their kindness and care over the past 8 years. 

Roy will be fondly and lovingly remembered by many, but most especially by his long time special friend and companion Dorothy Jacobs.  

Visitation will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John Street West, Waterloo on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 1 – 2 p.m. with the service beginning at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Joel Kuhl.
