Treasured friend Konny,
It's a matter of considerable regret that we cannot attend Doris' funeral service because of commitments with the International Lutheran Council in Fort Wayne. We've prayed for her time and again in recent months, especially as her condition worsened, and we thank God for keeping her in the faith of Christ to the end.
Ever since our arrival in Canada in late 1981, we were encouraged by her good cheer and warm heart whenever we saw and talked with her. And though she never sought the limelight, she was one of those very steady and constructive children of God whose deeds of love to the body of Christ were larger and deeper than any attention she received.
We can hardly imagine what a hole it makes in your heart and home to say farewell to her. God give you the grace now to lean hard on the same promises of comfort you have held out to many other people. May He carry you through these painful changes, one day at a time. And may He sustain you in the same saving faith and trust that has made her more than a conqueror through Christ, Who loves us.
Wishing you every comfort in Jesus the Lord,
Gail and Robert Bugbee

We will always remember our trip to Iceland, good times in Florida, Cedar Lake, and games of rummikub. Those are just a few of the moments that stand out in my memory. Your smile in every picture is just who you were. Warm, kind, fun and the list goes on. You will be missed by more people than you can imagine. Janet and Siegy

Konny, Our condolences to you on the death of your dear wife Doris. She was truly a light shining the love of Christ to all those around her. I will always remember her New York accent! Thank the Lord that she has entered her eternal rest with her Savior. We grieve but not as those who have no hope. Take comfort in that promise of eternal life with Christ. In His service, Roberto and Jill Munoz.
