I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Garney. I worked with him at Mount Hope cemetary during the summers of my university years in the 1980's. I really enjoyed my time with him there and he was a great mentor to me. I knew nothing about flowers, gardening and cutting grass when I began, but became quite competent from his knowledge and guidance. Our group would sit in the little building enjoying are lunches together sharing jokes and laughter. I remember on my very first day of work, I wore workboots that left huge blisters on my heels. Garney didn't think I would return to work on day 2, but I did and he let me use these big rubber boots until I healed. I have such fond memories of him and our time together. Sending my condolences to his family.

Sending much love and prayers to Debra, Paul and Diana and their families at this most difficult time. I loved Uncle Garnet so much and will miss our chats about the days gone by. We grew up together and he use to come and wait until I woke up from my nap so we could play together. He was a friend and we had good times together, he always had a fun story to teill. He will be missed by all of his nieces and nephews. He is with the Lord and at peace.
