NURSE, Elizabeth Margaret.

13/12/43-12/12/2021

Survived by her husband Dr. William Nurse, brother Jack Arthur (Australia), nephews Douglas and Richard Arthur (Australia), and grand nephews Adam and Megan.

Elizabeth was born in Colinsburg, Scotland to her father Arnold Arthur of Lochgelly, Scotland and her mother Peggy Arthur of Dunfermline, Scotland.  She immigrated to Tazmania with family at the age of 8 and that is where she grew up.  As an adult she received her degree as a Librarian at Canberra.  Her joy was Scottish Country Dancing which her parents taught in Australia and in 1988 she obtained her Teacher’s Certificate at St. Andrew’s Scotland.  She was one of the Teachers at the K-W branch and was for some years an active member of the Committee of the Teacher’s Association of Canada and Chairwoman from 1998 – 2000.  She was a very helpful Secretary in her husband’s practice.  As her illness progressed, she withdrew from all activities and passed quietly.

A Celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 4pm.  A reception will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.  To attend the service or reception please RSVP through the funeral home www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
