Gurparkash Louis

Obituary of Gurparkash Louis

Gurparkash Singh Louis, son of the late Kuldev Singh and the late Jaswant Kaur and spouse to the late Manmohan Kaur Louis passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2021 at the age of 70.  He moved to Canada in 1977 and acquired the nickname "Louie".

In his youth, he loved to help the poor and grew up training in boxing becoming a featherweight boxing champion.  He spent his days fixing watches with his own grandfather.  He was one of the first  to own a video camera and made multiple family movies creating memories to last a lifetime.  In his later years, he ran a successful and thriving driving school business for 20 years leaving the love of driving and legacy to his daughter.

In Louie's spare time he loved being around family and his grandchildren.  He enjoyed being at Conestoga Mall with his "mall-walking buddies".  Louie was an avid shopper who dressed impeccably.  He always made others feel warm, welcomed, and loved and made sure everyone felt beautiful about themselves. His laugh was contagious and made sure anyone he met would not leave his presence without making them smile. He really liked to use his hands and it showed in his passion for cooking, in building and remodeling cars, and was involved in many construction projects including building homes, fountains, and interior/exterior designs of properties.

Louie's favourite saying was "don't worry about it" and this is exactly how he chose to live his life.  He will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his two daughters Neena and Seema and his son in laws Harry and Raymond.  He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Arjun, Amar, Sama, Rajin, Sophia, and Sameera.
