Obituary of Leslie Brown

Peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital, Leslie William Boyce Brown, aged 91, passed away from Congestive Heart Failure on December 29, 2021.  Les was born June 12, 1930, son of the late John and Ruby (Amory) Brown in London England. Loving Father of Russell, Robert (Evelyn) and Karen. Long-time companion to Dorothy McCarthy. Les will be greatly missed by his grandchildren David (Gabbie) Brown, Hannah (Bradley) Botting, Denise (Alex) Voronkov, Hilary (Cosmin) Calderwood and great grandchildren Onyx Voronkov and Kirby Brown. Sister of Barbara Holland. Predeceased by sister Doris Brown and brothers Peter and Frederick Russell Brown. 

 

Les lived his life as he wanted. He worked for himself as a Bailiff; over the years was an active member of a number of service clubs giving selflessly of his time and talents. Most recently he was very involved with the Masons at many different levels. Les enjoyed watching racing and English football, cheering for the Arsenal.

 

Les was hard working and tenacious with strong opinions. He will be missed by all those who knew him. 

 

Respecting Les’s wishes, no viewing or services will take place. Cremation has taken place and the family will gather at a later date.
