My deepest condolences to Achim, Chris and their family!
Yesterday, I remembered something I nearly forgot for a very long time. And I thought, I should write it down here. When I was a little boy, "Tante Inge" send me a white Fan-T-Shirt of the "Toronto Blue Jays". And though I didn´t even know anything about this team, I wore this shirt proudly. It was from my aunt in Canada!
I always wanted to thank her for this special gift from my early childhood, and now I can´t, for which I am really sorry.
So, I do it here at least.
Vielen Dank, liebe Tante Inge! Ich habe dieses T-Shirt geliebt!
Dein Marc

My condolences go out to Chris, Achim and their family at this time of mourning.
Back in the day, our families were close friends in Waterloo. Visiting on a regular basis was always a welcoming event. Whether it was on Herbert St., John St., Royal St., or out on the farms, Inge was always a most welcoming hostess. I spent many a weekend and extended summer stays out on the farms, always lots to do, lots of people, lots of wonderful food, enjoying every minute, not wanting to return back to Royal St. I now often take a drive out into the farm area to reminisce of those halcyon days so very long ago.
May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

Inge wasn´t just aunt, to me she was more.
Always happy to see me when I stood at her door.
She babysitted me often when I was a kid
much more lovingly than normal aunts did.
I came back with friends who were welcome like me
policemen or girlfriends were all glad to see
why I came there so often; so now I must say
Thank you Inge – for your part of my way ♥

Tante Inge died on Monday. Strange, the same day as my birthday. I have been blessed a lot by her life. Josephine and I now live in the house that she and her husband had refurbished to being the most well maintained oldest house on the street. They even received a community award for the most improved property when Waterloo used to give such awards.
She and her son graciously sold us the house, and then continued to support us with advice and emergency maintenance when we've been away. It was an attitude of graciousness and love.
I remember when she and the family owned and worked farms, and used to invite the relatives for wonderful times of good food and fellowship in the country. We city children were allowed to experience something of the reality of farm life, with its pigs and manure, but also ponies to ride.
I have continually admired the faithfulness of her son Chris to visit his mom practically every day even to the last day of her life, saying goodbye to her before she went to be with the Lord.
Blessings to the family,
Edmund with Josephine Saley

Will never forget regal, gracious Inge sharing her 90th birthday celebration with many, many friends and family, and her knowing exactly who each one of us was, even if several years had passed since last being together. A very special lady indeed.
