Obituary of Lorie Tuck

Passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the age of 74, after a long struggle with cancer.  Lorie was born in Germany on December 4, 1947and the family emigrated to New Hamburg in 1952. 

She is survived and sadly missed by her brothers John (Beverley) and Helmut and sister Rose Wingelaar. Lorie will also be missed as a loving aunt by nieces and nephews in Kitchener, Waterloo, Toronto, Guelph, Cobalt, Ohio and Kenabeek.  She was a loyal friend to many, both here, in Vancouver and New Zealand. Predeceased by her parents Gustav and Frieda Vogel, her brother Erich, sister-in-law Paulette and niece Bethany.

Lorie worked for her whole career in accounting and retired from St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.  She was a world traveller and visited the Yukon, Hawaii, Europe and New Zealand. Also, she volunteered with Big Sisters and the Vancouver Opera.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date for family and friends.
