Dorothy passed away in her sleep, at Lanark Heights Long Term Care in Kitchener, on Saturday, January 22, 2022, in her 95th year.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Edward Rola in 1986, parents Nellie (nee Stanuch) and Walter Ryndak, sisters Louise Gitschner and Millie Kowalsky, and brothers Ted and Bill Ryndak.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons James Rola and wife Shirley and Dave Rola and wife Barb, grandchildren Mellissa McDonald (Mark), Scott Rola (Laura), Joe Rola (Katrina), Greg Rola, and Amy Rola, and great-grandchildren Ella, Riley, Alex, Willem, Isabelle, and Holly.
For 60 years, Dorothy was a member of the CWL at St. Agatha and Our Lady of Lourdes Parishes and served as President for one term. She sang in the choirs of both churches for many years. Dorothy and Ed lived in St. Agatha and owned and operated the Prince of Wales Hotel from 1953-1968. She was a wonderful mother and an amazing cook who will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha RC Church, 1839 Notre Dame Dr., St. Agatha on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Agatha RC Cemetery.
