Obituary of Alice McGinlay

Passed away peacefully on January 22, 2022 at the age of 93.

Will forever remain in the hearts of her sons Alan (Sandra) and William (Desiree). Cherished grandmother to Billy Jr. (Megan), Nicola (Jeff), David (Paula), Andrena and Liam. Great-grandmother to Billie Clare (Joel), Logan, William and Max. Predeceased by her first husband, Bill Fatkin (1963) and her second husband, Joe McGinlay. She will be missed by extended family and friends.

Alice immigrated to Canada from Scotland in 1957 with her husband and two sons. After the passing of Bill, she decided to return home to Scotland to be with her family. She enjoyed spending summers in Canada before returning permanently in 2017. Alice loved the company of many new friends she made at the Duke of Wellington, where she always had on her “Sunday Best” and enjoyed a scotch and coke at her favourite table on the stage. She will always be in our hearts.
