Edgar passed away at the Freeport Hospice Palliative Care Unit of Grand River Hospital on Friday, January 21, 2022, in his 89^th year.

Edgar will be lovingly remembered by his sister Dorothy Perkins and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Predeceased by his wife Delores “Dolly” Reinhart, parents Matilda (nee Spitzig) and Alfred Reinhart, brother Harold Reinhart, and sister Isabelle Reinhart.

Edgar will be fondly remembered for his caring and compassionate manner. He had a gentle soul and loved to share his time with friends at Trinity Village Studios. In his earlier years, he was a heavy equipment machinery operator and mechanic and enjoyed life on his farm near Wellesley. Edgar enjoyed restoring old farm tractors and entering them in parades and festivals. He was a member of the Historical Construction Equipment Association and a member of the Maryhill Historical Society.

A special thank you is extended to the staff at Trinity Village Studios who work tirelessly to keep the residents safe during this pandemic. Thank you also to the caring staff at Freeport Hospice Palliative Care Unit for the exceptional support shown to Edgar and his family.

To honour Edgar’s life, a memorial service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with a brief 15 minute visitation prior to the service.
