(Mary) Diane Cressman passed away suddenly and peacefully in her home on January 22, 2022 at the age of 74.
Diane lived a life of faith rooted in service to others. Two volunteer service experiences as a young woman in New Mexico and Colorado firmly established her on this path. After retiring from a career working as an RPN with the Canadian Red Cross, providing home care services, she continued to operate her foot care business for seniors. Throughout her life Diane did volunteer work with her church, Stirling Avenue Mennonite, and several faith-based organizations. She deeply valued the relationships these experiences brought her and will be missed by those she worked with and cared for.
Diane took great pleasure in listening to choral and classical music. She enjoyed singing in her church choir and the Grand Philharmonic Choir for many years. She loved working with her hands knitting, cross stitching and knotting comforters. We remember countless hours of her knitting mittens and hats destined for the Clothing Centre or special gifts. She loved her family and kept in touch with us wherever we travelled and lived. She found peace in nature and time in contemplation at the cottage in Red Bay. We have many fond memories of being with Diane.
Lovingly remembered by her brother and sister-in-law David and Anita Cressman of Waterloo and their family: Jeff Cressman and Cindy Choua of Aldinga, South Australia; James Cressman and Rachel Schmidt, Ellie and Nadine of Toronto and Jon and Fiona Jewitt Cressman, Zayden, Xavier and Suri of Coolum Beach, Queensland. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Erma (Dedels) Cressman.
A memorial service will be held at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home for immediate family and will be live-streamed on February 12th, 2022 at 7 p.m. The livestream link will be available on Diane’s obituary page at www.erbgood.com.
