It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Arthur William (Pete) Mondoux, on February 22, 2022, in his 88th year.
Born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, Pete was highly respected and successful in his professional career and served as President of Heron Cable (Waterloo) and Air King (Toronto). He loved all things fast including participating in car rallies and watching Formula 1 Racing. He also enjoyed good food, wine and jazz music and he loved nothing better than sharing in these things with his family.
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Ann (nee Maxfield); children, Dianne Brose (Werner), Mark Mondoux (Melanie), Beth Heintzman (Glen), Michele Mondoux; grandchildren, Matthew, Aimee, Holly, Michael, Lauren, Megan, Alison; his three great grandchildren; and brothers Tim Mondoux (Barbara) and Richard Maxfield (Janice).
Pete is predeceased by son, Michael, father Oscar (Marcella); mother Margaret, and his two sisters Irene Panik (Joseph) and Judith Firth.
His final months were spent in the compassionate care of the staff at University Gates, Matthews Neighbourhood. We would like to thank them for treating him with kindness and dignity.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will follow this spring at Black Creek Cemetery, Lambton County. A private memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 26 at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo.
