A wonderful man I was blessed to know. We shared many conversations and shoveling mornings. Daily conversation and many early evening summer chats on his newly built backdoor patio...for me.
Will truly miss our talks..everyday was a great conversation Doug., always wished me well for the day.
Listening to his bag pipe playing was a sound like no other.
I will truly miss you my friend.

To all of the Simpson Family
I am shocked and saddened that you have all lost your brother , father, uncle, cousin, grandfather and friend in Doug. In my years with Doug, I saw a man who embraced all of those roles (the Grandpa one was tbd) with passion and dedication. Family defined him and I am sure his legacy will live on through you all.
Rest in peace, Doug. Thanks for the good years and the opportunity to meet your loving family!

Our deepest condolences to Kelsey, Caitlin, Alana and the Simpson family.
Doug was a great man and always knew how to bring a smile on your face. Regardless of the situation he tried to shine a good light and always followed with a hearty laugh. A laugh and a voice that was very distinct. I remember the times he played the bagpipes for my mom and dads funeral and as tough as it was for him - he mustered through.
May he rest in peace.
Lots of love and prayers,
Jason, Nicole, Jack and Tom Simpson
