So sorry to learn of Dana's passing, and appreciate Gail Kendrick letting me know. Dana was a very close friend and colleague, and never failed to connect with my wife Edie and myself on every special occasion. Unfortunately my wife passed away from cancer March 8th.- we together 62 years, and Dana always marveled at that. Like Dana we have a strong faith, and know Dana and Edie together in God's arms and with families and at peace. Trust in God, always what we believed and shared. My sincere condolences to Dana's friends and family in this time of grief -- I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Dana was a dear friend to me. We met through her work at Sunlife and maintained a friendship through the years, mostly by email and text. She was incredibly kind and thoughtful, with a playful sense of humour. She was conscientious and committed to her work, unfailingly loyal to her friends and family, and generous with her time and her care for others. I will miss her, and cherish her memory. Mike

Dana, it feels surreal to be leaving these words. How is it that this day has come and that the memories of our younger years resurface. The laughter of our family, of Gramma (Nan) and Grampas joyful hearts, celebrating every occasion that brought family together. Parties at your parents house...the abundance of happiness, laughter and telling/ listening to funny stories. The moments shared, just you and me, sitting on Grammas (Nans) bed, reminiscing of life's moments that made us smile. I can still hear your soft and tender voice, see your beautiful face and remember what you were wearing the last time I saw you. Dana, you will forever be in my heart, same with your mom (Aunt Lois), and your dad (Uncle Jim). The memories I hold are very special to me. I know that somewhere up there you are sitting with your parents, with Gramma and Grampa and all that there is to be felt is peace, love and joy. Grateful for having you in my life... I'd known Dana for years through work, though we didn't work together very often and didn't really know her all that well. That said, despite the fact that we were on different teams and seldom had reason to talk to each other, if I was having a rough day or a particularly difficult call she would often would send quick message through our interoffice chat system just to say "Hi" and see how I was doing. She was *always* pleasant to talk to and would give you a warm, genuine, smile that would turn downright serious if you needed help with anything. But if you just wanted someone to chat with, she was seemingly always available when one needed a sympathetic ear to talk to. She will definitely be missed.

I am heat-broker and very sad. I did not know Dana very well but I was lucky to collaborate with her and to chat occasionaly. She is the sweetest and the most gentle person I know.
