Obituary of Peter Hryhorczuk

 

Peter passed away peacefully at Hospice Waterloo Region, Waterloo on Thursday, March 10, 2020, at the age of 60. Peter is survived by his sister Olga Reibling of Kitchener, sister Irene Brisson of Kitchener, sister Silvia Rowsell of Guelph, and sister Mary-Iris Reibling of Kitchener. He is preceded in death by his mother Katharina Hryhorczuk and father Wasyl Hryhorczuk.

To attend the visitation and service for Peter, personal face coverings are required. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Panakhyda starting at 4:30 p.m.)  Divine Liturgy and Funeral Service will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of Transfiguration, 131 Victoria Street, South, Kitchener on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend Myroslaw Tataryn officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.

Peter was born in Toronto to Katharina and Wasyl Hryhorczuk on November 16, 1961. He worked with many programs in the Waterloo Region. Some of the programs he worked with were the WALES program, Hacienda Sierra Garden Centre, Kitchener, Downtown Community Centre and community computer programs.
