Obituary of John (Jack) Thomas Aveling

Jack passed away, with family at his side, at Innisfree House in Kitchener, on Monday, March 14, 2022, at the age of 94.

He was dearly loved by his wife of 70 years, Stephana. Adored father to his girls, Lee Partridge and Dale Aveling (Paul Osolnik), much loved grandpa of Jessica Frost (Chris), Adam Partridge, Trevor Young, Lindsay Young (Blake), Brianne Osolnik, and Justin Osolnik; cherished great-grandpa of Ryan, Nicholas, and Beatrice. Jack is also survived by his sister-in-law Margaret Sanderson and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ellen (nee Regan) and Thomas Aveling.

Jack was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force for 14 years. He ended his career with Angus Consulting Management Limited (ACML) in Toronto. Jack had a passion for cars and enjoyed wood working, especially after retirement. His true pride and joy was his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be greatly appreciated by the family.

To honour Jack’s wishes, cremation will take place. A private family graveside service will be held.
