Obituary of Madeline Hergott

Madeline passed away peacefully at Hospice Waterloo Region with family at her side, on Sunday, March 27, 2022, in her 94^th year.

Madeline was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, Anthony (Tony) Hergott, on August 20, 2018. Loving mother and grandmother of David and wife Darlene (Jacqueline and Darryl), Greg and wife Joanne (Joe, Jerrid, Elizabeth, James, Stéphanie), Paul and wife Deborah (Matthew and Jaclyn), and Dale and partner Sue (Brittany, Stacey and Kelsey). Fondly remembered by ten great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her parents Emmeline (nee Dietrich) and John K. Wagner, and sisters and brothers Clara Stoesser (Hubert), William Wagner (Laura), Clotilda Stoesser (Alex), John Wagner (Rita), Anne Dietrich (Charles), Joseph Wagner (Frances), Peter Wagner, Eileen Wagner, and Albert Wagner.

Madeline was a faithful member of St. Michael’s RC Church in Waterloo and was a member of the CWL for over 65 years. Her passion was gardening and she was a member of the K-W Horticultural Society.

Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Madeline during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. The family respectfully requests that you please wear a face mask. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s RC Church, 80 University Ave. W., Waterloo on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Pawel Jamroz officiating. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. A reception in the parish hall will follow the interment.
