Obituary of Mary Swangard

It is with great sadness the Kitchener Swangard family announces that Mary Swangard (nee Strutt), affectionately known as Ma Swa, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday March 24th, 2022 in her 75th year at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Home.  Mary was born in Vancouver, British Columbia.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Graham Swangard.  Her 3 sons and their spouses, Todd and Lestra, Keith and Amanda, and Matthew and Debbie.  Her 5 grandchildren Sophie and Greame, and Eryn, Lucas and Michael. Her 2 brothers, Bill, and Brian and Joan.

She is predeceased by her parents William Strutt and Jean Strutt (nee Auld).

A gathering celebrating her life will be held at a later date.  From there her remains will be taken back to the west coast to be interred near her place of birth and her parents and a gathering of her Vancouver family and friends will happen.
