Obituary of Hans Gustav Paul Neumann
Hans passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, in his 95th year.
He was the eldest of three sons born to Martha (Scharf) and Gustav Neumann of Landeshut, Schlesien.
Dearly loved husband of Hiltrud who passed away in 1996 and cherished father of Carola Neumann.
Predeceased by his parents, brothers Horst (1973) and Bernhard (2010), first wife Margarete, and his companion Christiane (2020).
In Europe, he leaves behind his son Roland, his daughter Ilona (Gernot), grandchildren Torben (Sabrina), Gordon, and Gesa, great-grandchildren Largo, Elise and Oskar, as well as nephews Frank, Stephan, Fred, and niece Gabi.
Hans was an active member of St. Mary’s RC Church German congregation in Kitchener for many years. He enjoyed summers at the cottage on Lake Huron, and loved to travel to various world conferences with the Ancient Astronaut Society. He was a kind and gentle man who will be missed.
Cremation has taken place and interment will be made at Mount Hope Cemetery in Kitchener. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service.
