Audrey was a wonderful, caring person and a good friend. Our group of friends (The Four Musketeers) always felt her warm smile and endearing quiet manner. We shared her enthusiasm for exploring new places and experiencing new customs which exemplified her joy of life. Good friends and fond memories are not forgotten, they continue to give us peace and happiness. My condolences to her family.

Audrey left an impact on many lives, young and old. I was fortunate to have begun my teaching career with her as my associate and later on, to work with Audrey as a colleague.
She was fully committed to children’s education, to the environment and to understanding
culture and religion.
Audrey exemplified the phrases , « no child left behind » and « it takes a village ».
My sincere condolences to her family.

Audrey was my grade 2 teacher at Empire school in 1956. The fact that I remember this wonderful teacher this many years later attests to her caring personality and her dedication to education. I love that the picture in the Record is just as I remember her. Jo Ann Struck (Koppeser)

One always remember the special people who teach you the basics in education. Miss Hertzberger was a solid, observant, no-nonsense teacher. She used active learning strategies and phonetics before they were in vogue - truly, she was ahead of her time. My condolences to her family especially her foster daughter whose picture she shared with us one day.

Audrey was a well respected teacher and influential mentor to me, as a first year teacher at Sandowne Public School. Yes, she did give me lots of valuable advice, whether I requested it or not. However, she will be most remembered as a cherished friend throughout those teaching years and beyond when I moved West. Whenever we’d get together for Sandowne Reunions it was as if no time had passed. She was always smiling. I will miss those yearly Christmas cards updating me on her life experiences; what an amazing woman. I was blessed to have known her and am saddened to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family. Heidi

Audrey had the biggest smile! So patient, supportive, great sense of humour and always professional. It was an honour to know her and admire how she related to youngsters.

My sister, Helen Ivison Robinson met Audrey when teaching in Soest. I had the pleasure of meeting Audrey through my sister. She was a wonderful person, committed to her beliefs. Her obituary describes her so well. Sincere condolences to her family.
