I lived in the Scott’s Home at the beginning of my training at the University of Waterloo in Architecture School. I remember Mr. Scott well, and his entire Family welcomed me every day after school to their Dinner table. We shared many memories; at that time it was 1993-4.
Mr. And Mrs. Scott had made some delicious pigtails for dinner one night, and they asked me to try them without knowing what they were. Nothing ever tasted better than the ‘undisclosed’ dinner that night. I loved them. They were so delicious. Mr. and Mrs. Scott were quite surprised when I told them it was one of the best meals I had ever had.
I am sorrowed for the passing of Mr. Scott, and I feel very sad at the thought of him no longer being with Us. Yet I know that he is happy and sound in a great New World; one that we only hope to discover ourselves, soon. G-d Bless him and the Scott Family for being so welcoming to a schoolage-stranger, and for being such godly examples of raw kindness and strength in G-d’s name.
Thank you to the Scott’s, for being so kind. Sincerely, John Anthon Di Sabatino (Jds).

I remember Steven as a story teller. When I was in high school, he came to my church as part of a fundraiser for CPG. What was initially planned to be a 15 minute speech quickly turned to 45 presentation. Replete with vivid description in how he came to be the person he grew into today, every member in church was listening and spellbound. I remember him as a leader as he continued to make the world a better place, especially his home town of matangwe even when he was a continent and an ocean away. Steven taught us how to make the most of what you have and most importantly how to live a bright, virtuous and positive life. The world was brighter with him in it, but it will remain bright through all the lives that he’s changed and people he’s impacted. We’ll miss you Mr Scott - sincerely, John Sehl

I met Stephen and Sylvia because a friend, Krista Cantwell and my son, Paul Shannon, were both volunteers with CPG in Matangwe. I send my deepest sympathy to the Scott family and the CPG family. In 2016, I was able to visit Matangwe and see first hand, the wonderful work being done there, in health care and education. Stephen's legacy will be the many he helped through his service and love and the people who will continue to benefit. His was a life very well lived. Well done, good and faithful servant.
