One of my first memories of Aunt Mary…. Aka…. Mare…. Aka…. Nana…. Aka Nana Noo. Is a family reunion at Eagle Lake…guessing it’s the late 80’s, I am pretending to be the bartender, perhaps not pretending being I might have learned how to make a martini at the age of 10 or 12. Wearing someone’s aviators a striped shirt (there is a photo somewhere) trying to work the crowd and keep everyone’s glass full. All the Kuntz sisters, Uncle Don, Tom, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts Uncles etc. all sitting in a circle just in front of the field behind the Kuntz cabin. Enjoying a beautiful afternoon in the sun. The next I am 20 or 21 moving to Kitchener starting a new Job at La Costa (oddly becoming that bartender) staying in the Green Room at the House of Love, 46 Birchcliff Drive for the first few months waiting for my first apartment. Coming home to cherry chew’s, waking up to butter tarts, minced ham sandwiches for lunch & weenie deenies after going to the market on Saturday mornings. Perhaps on the odd occasion or twice a day with Uncle Timmy being called a Bizazza from Bizazzaville. Taking Tilly for a walk at Toolieloolie land. The the endless jars of raspberry jam in the cold room downstairs (also many jars of Uncle Don’s pickled beets). Next, I am in my late twenties coming back to Kitchener going to work at the store and I am now a cellar dweller. Living in the basement at the House of Love, again waiting for an apartment to be ready oddly enough. Still waking up to butter tarts & cherry chews. Walking Cleo over at Toolieloolie land (for those that don’t know that’s the school across the road) also a Bizazza might be a little rascal, a sneaky Pete or as an adult perhaps someone that could have had a bottle or two of Louis Roederer Pink Champagne for breakfast on their cousin’s birthday or a random Sunday that was just being silly. I just wanted to say that she was always kind and loving to me, opened up her home and her heart for her young cousin. My sister Erin would say I will miss her hugs…. Such strong arms for a tiny woman and boy oh boy did she hop up out of her chair to say hello and give you the biggest hug when you arrived. She had the most adorable giggle. To have had three of the wildest little rascals as children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren she was 99 and lived an amazing life. Johnny Schreiter

When I think about Aunt Mary, I think of her Laugh, Compassion and Generosity. She always bought Tim and I a chocolate bar when we visited her working at the Pharmacy. She called us a “Bizazza” many times as we giggled away, when we were kids. May God Bless Wylie, Darrell and Tim during this challenging time. Love Linda and Jamie

Mary AKA Nana was a true woman of substance. She lived her life in service to others. Always singing in praise of what she lived for. I remember her kindness when I had her grand children. She was there for me and the babes. Totally being a presence that was a light that shone without judgement but with true love from her kind heart. I will miss her however she will always be in my prayers, thoughts. Her inspiring life will always be a guiding light in my life. Mary, showed me a life that was better and beautiful. A true Angel!!❤️

After I Timothy invited a new friend for Christmas diner. Mom calls Wylie all concerned that a homeless person was coming...suprise everyone Jack MacArther shows up at the front door with both wine and a 40 of vodka wearing a full length mink over a 3-piece and a longtime family friend was born. I will always miss mom and her funnyways; but I am overjoyed knowing the peace she finds in death. WAY TOO GO BUSY

Thank you for all the years of sharing the dock at Eagle Lake, sunning, reading, and watching the children swim and play. Then doing it all again in the Dominican for a wedding. Memories to last a lifetime
