Obituary of Garrett Cameron Rickert
With profound sadness, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Garrett Cameron Rickert on April 30th, 2022, in his 24th year.
Beloved son of Denny and Kris Rickert, dearly loved brother of Jill Rickert & Mike Baluyot.
Greatly missed by the love of his life, Maddie Devries. Much loved nephew of Judy & Bob Schulz, Tim & Deb Rickert, Elizabeth & Clarence Martens. Greatly loved & missed by many cousins.
Predeceased by grandparents John & Doris Rickert and Elroy & Phyllis Schneider
Fondly remembered by the Devries family.
A gentle giant, Garrett was passionate about his hobbies- spending time with Maddie, walking in nature, spending time on the deck with his mom and working on auto projects with his dad. His larger-than-life personality showed in many aspects of his life. He loved loud cars and trucks - the bigger and noisier the better. Campfires and nature were his most favorite places of refuge. He was a workout warrior; his passion was weight training and he always hoped one day of competing on a professional level. Garrett was a hard worker with a good work ethic and took pride in his workmanship. He was an accomplished 3rd generation licensed truck mechanic. His smile lit up the room and that is how we will remember him.
