Obituary of Doreen Victoria Grant

Doreen passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022. She was the loving wife of Dr. Ross Grant for over 70 years, and the loving mother of Dr. David Grant (Sheila), Stephen Grant (Cathy), Cynthia Andrews (Dennis), Robert Grant, and Elizabeth Grant (Jason Aurini). She was loving Grandmother to Erin (Wilson) Abreu, Ryan (Lisa) Grant, Allison (Patrick) Greer, Elizabeth Grant, Chad Grant, Laura Grant, and Maia, William, and Isabella Aurini, and proud Great Grandmother to Bronwyn and Alaina Abreu, Nathanial and Bennett Grant, and Lawson, Hannah and Parker Greer. She is predeceased by both parents (Charles and Evelyn Randall) and all of her 7 siblings.

Doreen was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on October 29, 1929. She attended Sir Charles Tupper High School and the Maritime Business Academy. She spent her business career as private secretary to business executives in Halifax, London, and Kitchener.

The family wish to thank the staff at University Gates and Joan Cowcill for their kind and thoughtful care over the past several years.

Due to Covid protocols, Doreen’s life will be celebrated with a private memorial service for immediate family members only.
