Passed away peacefully on May 5, 2022 at the age of 95.
Loving mother to John (Dana) Gillespie and Mary Jane (Robert) Hare. Dear grandmother of Ewan (Katie) Gillespie, Elizabeth Gillespie, Rachel (Sean Martin) Gillespie, Andrew (Jayna) Hare and Craig (Kerri) Hare. Great-grandmother of Henry Martin, Charles Martin, Julia Martin, Asher Hare, Clara Gillespie and Bodhi Hare. Cherished twin sister of Grace Brodsky. Will forever remain in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Predeceased by her husbands Harry Gillespie (1975) and John Willms (2006) and siblings William Hanna, Alexander Hanna, Kenneth Hanna and Margaret Hanna.
A long-time member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Kitchener and was an Elder Emeritus.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, May 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 54 Queen St. N., Kitchener on Tuesday, May 10 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. As per family’s request, masks are required. The service will be livestreamed and the link will be available on Gwendolyne’s obituary page on www.erbgood.com.
