Obituary of Lorna Jean Draper

Lorna was carried into heaven in the arms of Jesus on May 5, 2022, at the age of 70. She was born in Montreal, the first child of Douglas and Greta Draper. She leaves behind her brother Roy (Barb) Draper of Elmira, her sister Ruth (Dennis) Funk of London, her niece and nephews and her caregiver family: Jo Herrfort, Marlene Martin, Joy Blatchford, Londyn Herrfort, Aden Blatchford.

Although Lorna had Down Syndrome, she learned to do many things. After the family moved to Cambridge, Ont., she worked at a sheltered workshop. At age 49 she moved to a Christian Horizons group home and then into a host family setting. Lorna was loved by all as they responded to the love she poured out to others.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday May 14, 2022, at 9:00 am.  The service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday May 14, 2022, at 10:00 am. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be held at Mount View Cemetery in Cambridge.
