Although it wasn’t very often, when uncle Jimmy came to visit he was always the life of the party. I hope you’re dancing away with nanny once more. love you uncle Jimmy

I have known Jim since I was 10 and thought how lucky Vina was to have such a handsome, funny guy. And what a mean jitterbug!! He has always remained funny, handsome and kind. Not sure about the jitterbug… Marc and I are sorry he is gone but are happy to have had the opportunity to know him. XX Suzette

The picture of Mr Chamberlain in my head, he's a much younger guy. I can't count the number of times I was over having dinner or just hanging out back when we were all in school, always feeling welcome. And Mr Chamberlain had a great sense of humour, his quick wit made everyone laugh. I remember a story you told me, Liane, about how your Dad would always grab the end crust of the bread, and eventually you and your brothers all raced for those end crust pieces cause you figured they had to be the best pieces in the loaf if your Dad liked them so much. It said a lot about how fun and close you all were and how much you looked up to him. Such a big loss. My heart goes out to you all.

Dad
Thanks for your humour and the wonderful memory of you playing “Kansas City “ on the guitar.
Also “hello little girl” - you used to make your stockinged feet talk to me in that silly voice. It always made me laugh.

My wonderful brother-in-law Jim introduced me to his favourite guitarist Chet Atkins when I was living with him and Vina in Ottawa where I attended Algonquin College after 5 years in the military. I learned to love Chet's style of playing as much as Jim did and in later years through the advent of Internet we were able to keep in touch and expand on our list of great guitarists. We would constantly exchange names and utube videos of every new fantastic guitarist we discovered. We were in awe of the abilities of these players and we both sighed with envy dreaming how nice it would be to have their abilities. Jim was a much better player than I but he made me feel like an equal player. I will greatly miss our back and forth e-mails and will now have to find these new players on my own from now on but I like to think Jim will guide me from his heavenly abode and he will come to mind whenever I listen to a beautiful guitar tune . I'm sure he will try his hand at playing the harp, R.I.P. Jim.
