GERBIG, Gerald “Gerry”

Passed away at his home on Monday, June 20, 2022, at the age of 83 years.  Beloved husband, of over 64 years, to Vicki Gerbig.  Loving father of Michael Gerbig (Linda), William Gerbig (Brenda), Robin Wachter and Lynn Gerbig. Loving grandfather of Jeremy (Merrillee), Sheehan (Alice), Corey, Jerrod, Ashley, Nicholas, Sarah, Samantha, Ryan, Jordan and Alex (Nakita).  Great-grandfather to 5. Brother-in-law to Gary (June) Manton.

Predeceased by his mother, Edith Mae Duffield nee Gerbig, stepfather, Orvil Duffield, In-law parents, Grace and Edward Manton, brother-in-law, Donald Manton.

Gerry was a long-time employee of Marsland Engineering (1955 – 1978) and a founding partner of Cambridge Speakers Ltd. (1977 – 2003). He was a 50 plus year member of the Elks of Canada. 

Gerry was a great man with a perseverance unmatched in his devotion to his work, family and beliefs.  He loved his family and friends beyond measure. His grandchildren enjoyed his silly songs and the pet names he gave them. 

Gerry left this earth with courage and knowing he was loved.

There will be no visitation or funeral services as per Gerry’s request.
