Obituary of Davy "Dave" Frederick Hodge

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Davy Frederick Hodge, on June 19, 2022, at Hospice Waterloo Region, Ontario.

Dave was born and raised in Trenton, Ontario. After his marriage, he moved to Waterloo, where he lived and worked, ending his career as a valued employee at Onward Cluthé Inc.

He loved to fish and to fix and maintain his home here in Waterloo. But most of all, he loved to play his guitar and write songs to his lifelong love, Virginia.

Beloved husband, for forty-seven years of Virginia Ruth. Cherished father of Brenda Lee. Loving grandpa to Lilith Winter and Alexander Donald McLean. He He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Cathy Patterson (Mike), Lorraine Lowe (Wesley) and Rose Hodge Carr (Kelly), his brother Frank (Nancy) and his many nieces and nephews. Survived by his devoted mother, Winnie Hodge French.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, June 24 from 1 – 2pm. The service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2pm. A reception will follow in the Fireside Lounge. Private interment to follow at a later date.
