Obituary of Hildegard Schlegel

SCHLEGEL, Hildegard.

Passed away peacefully at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the age of 96 years. 

Beloved wife of the late Harold Schlegel.  Loving mother of Charlie Schlegel.  Cherished Oma of Tom Schlegel (Christine) and Samantha Schlegel and Great Oma of Blake, Liam and Kash Schlegel.  Fondly remembered by Detlef, Renate, Ralph, Melissa and Yvonne.  Predeceased by her daughters Mary-Ann Wanjon and Irene Pisani (Bruce) and siblings Ellie, Ziggy and Hans.

Hildegard spent many hours volunteering in her community.

The Schlegel family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 10-11am followed by a funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home. A reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery.
