Obituary of Loreen Marie Freiburger
Passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Claude Herbert Freiburger (2009). Loving mother of Larry and Lynn Freiburger and Doug and Judy Freiburger. Loving Grandmother of Scott & Annette, Michelle & Troy, Brent & Holly, Lee & Eva and Kristin &Kevin. Great Grandmother of Angela, Ashlyn, Jack, Skylar, Jaden, Matthew, Jacob,Teagan, Annabelle, Max, Charlie and Callie. Survived by her brother Urban Steffler and by members of the Steffler and Freiburger families. Predeceased by her parents Enoch and Matilda Steffler (nee Dietrich) and her siblings Kaye Yastremski, Clara Scheffner, Gordon Steffler, Robert Steffler and Loretta Schnarr.
Loreen was a founding member of St. Michael’s RC Church in Waterloo, a parishioner of St. Louis RC Church in Waterloo and a member of the Catholic Women’s League at both churches.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Loreen with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen Street E., Waterloo on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 10:30am Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
