Passed away suddenly on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Aspira Doon Village Retirement Home, having just entered her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Edgar Ditner who predeceased her in 2015.

Verna was born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario and was a staunch believer in the value of a public school system accessible by and for everyone.
