Together again with her soulmate Edward George Knipping. Jan 15, 1936 - Oct 1, 2011
Well Ma, I guess there'll be no more sunsets on the balcony, just you & me and one more glass of wine. You were cut from the same cloth as Grandpa Amy, Rob and I couldn't have asked for a better Mother.
Mom passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital after a courageous battle from a fall. Mom enjoyed our Tuesday night "date nights" at McMullan's, she loved her NASCAR & "Jeffy" Gordon, and now #9. She watched hockey and had become a big Austin Matthews fan, along with the Jays, football, golf etc., "Phyl" also loved her hallmark movies and Wednesday night TV bingo with Jackie, puzzling with Tammy or Jackie and watching Otis & Ophelia swimming in the park. She loved fishing & boat rides for ice cream in Honey Harbour & campfires at our "Trottage".
Mom is survived by & loved dearly by her sons Randy (Lydia) & Rob (Pam), Grandchildren KK, Mike, Cole, Amy & Matt, Great Grandchild Karter, brother Doug Amy (Lise), brother-in-law Ray Knipping, as well as several nieces & nephews. : Extended family Sheryl, Jennifer & Colleen. Best friends Jackie, Ruth and numerous others from our building community. She wouldn't have lived such a full life without the love and support from Jackie & Andre and others in our building as well as chats with Lise and Colleen.
To the staff at GRH on the 5th floor, you are all heroes, my heartfelt thanks go out to you.
At Phyl's request, there will be no visitation/ service, cremation has taken place. Condolences for the family and donations to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or Crohn's & Colitis Canada may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home,171 King St. S., Waterloo, at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
