Obituary of William "Bill" Boehmer

William (Bill) James Boehmer, 82, philosopher, dog lover and loyal Tim’s customer passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022.  Bill was the son of Lionel and Helen (Croth) and was proud to have been born on Guy Fawkes Day in 1939.

Bill will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Marilyn and extended family – Brad (Lisa), Kathy, Kerri, Kale (Nate), Margaret and Sarah.  Predeceased by his parents and his brother Jack.  Bill was looking forward to being reunited with his beloved Tippy, who was his faithful companion for many years.

Bill’s years at university in Athens, Georgia were the highlight of his life.  Upon his return to KW, he took excellent care of his mother for years. Bill love Southern food, a good Beaujolais and family get-togethers.  He could always be counted on to sample a second dessert and share a good story.  As a proud left-handed golfer Bill spent many hours cheering on south paws in the PGA.  His love of reading and the music of Gordon Lightfoot were evident to all that knew him.

The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Conestoga Lodge as they gave him a place he could call home for the past 6 years.  Our special thanks to Dr. Vitou and the staff in the dialysis unit at Grand River Hospital for their kindness and care.
