Obituary of Ursula Munz
Ursula Munz, 78, passed away surrounded by her family at Hospice Waterloo Region on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
She is waltzing again with her father Richard Munz (1992), mother Gertrude Trudy Munz (2017) and great nephew Hayden Munz (2021). Beloved big sister of Richard Jürg Munz (Diane), Felix Paul Munz (Jeanette) and Ruedi Ralph Munz (Sandi). Proud auntie of Rebecca Munz (Brad), Jonathan Munz, Laura Munz (Matthew), Alexander Munz (Lindsay) and Matthew Munz. Loving great auntie to Trinity and Cyrus.
Born in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, Ursula immigrated to Mitchell, Ontario with her family at the age of seven and spent her adult years living in Waterloo. She loved her career immensely teaching physical education at Wilmot Senior Public School and later used her immigrant experience to help other newcomers by teaching English as a second language at A R Kaufman. She was an avid supporter of the KW Symphony, voracious reader, traveller, culinary wizard, gardener, New England Patriots fan, caregiver to many, horse, dog and people lover who always greeted anyone who crossed her path with an enthusiastic hello.
Words can not express how much friends and family will miss her. She will forever be remembered for her devotion to loved ones, generous spirit, infectious laugh and heart of gold.
The family offers sincere thanks to all the friends, nurses and caregivers who made it possible for Ursula to spend so much time at home and for the compassionate care from Hospice Waterloo Region.
