I remember hearing about the legendary stories of Oma when I first became friends with Jackie. When I finally met Oma for the first time, she was everything I had imagined and more. I feel so honoured to have met this amazing woman. Sending comforting hugs to Miriam, Michael, Jackie, Carly, Sarina, Farah and the rest of the family that Oma loved so, so much. I am keeping you in my thoughts and in my heart.

Dear Onkel Peter, Walli, Doris, Karl, Miriam and Families,
We are so saddened to hear about the passing of Tante Frieda, a truly generous and loving woman who touched all of our lives. She enriched us with her humor, fattened us with her love of cooking, and always made us feel special. Thankfully, John and I were able to visit three times from South Carolina this year and catch up with our aunt and uncle at University Gates.
We sorrow with you and send our love,
Heidi and John Wiens

With Sincere Condolences on the death of your wife, mother and grandmother Frieda.
Although I did not know her well, whenever I met her I would feel the sincerity in her greeting and conversation. In spite of her difficult early life, as you stated, she led a happy, grateful, generous, faith filled and hard working life. What a legacy she left, and what wonderful memories she left you. May you always hold these loving memories in your hearts.

I'm so sorry to hear about Frieda's passing. Words dont adequately express my feelings for you and your family. Frieda was so loving and caring. I have so many memories of childhood that centre around her and spending time with Miriam in their home. Frieda supported me through some difficult times in my young life. She was always there with kind words and good food. I was blessed to have had her in my life.

Peter and Frieda served as deacons at Waterloo-Kitchener United Mennonite Church, and their contributions to visitation and planning and the ceremonial duties were always joyful and generous. Frieda's compassion was an example to the rest of us; her friendliness was infectious!

It was always a special privilege to talk with Frieda and Peter when they visited me. They cared so much about each other. Their history and shared life together was an inspiration. Frieda tried to make every special occasion perfect with her cooking for her family. Peter would worry about her doing so much and would always reassure Freida and me that his own health was perfectly fine and that Freida did not have to worry about him. I remember them fondly and wish Peter and the extended family peace in the remembered joys of the life they shared with Freida . Mel Cescon

Our deepest condolences go out to you all at this difficult time. We have so many good memories, too many to share as you know Peter. We came across a poem fitting for Frieda. Legacy of Love. A wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother too. Frieda you thought us love and how to fight, you gave us strength and might. A stronger person would be hard to find and in your heart you were always kind. For all of us Frieda gave her best. Now the time has come to rest. So go in peace you earned your sleep. Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep.. Rest In Peace. Love you all, Hein and Tina.
