Obituary of Joyce Darleen Riener

Joyce passed away on October 17, 2022.

She is survived by her children Ralph Riener, Donna Gottdenker and Justine Heinrichsberg. Grandchildren Jean-Paul Schramek, Annabelle Heinrichsberg. Great Grandchildren Grace Schramek, and Nolan Schramek.

Predeceased by loving husband Earl Riener, parents John and Margarite Kirk.

Joyce was born in Toronto but moved to Kitchener in early childhood. At 14 years of age, Joyce met Earl, who inspired her with the sound of his flute. This started a career in music and a long life of other inspired moments. Along with becoming the first bassoonist for the K-W Symphony Orchestra, Joyce became an accomplished painter, a skilled spinner, weaver, and knitter, and mastered advanced quilting. She continued to be inspired even into her nineties when she studied guitar and piano. All will remember her as a strong and busy woman who was undaunted by challenges.

Cremation has taken place. A Private family service will be held.
