A tribute to Grady

Grady, the son of Arnold and Stella Liddle, was born on March 10, 1932, on the family farm in Essex County. He and his brothers, Bryce and Keith, attended Leamington High School, where he played football, basketball and ping pong (high school champion!). He loved playing the clarinet and saxophone in the high school band and often sang solos in church.

Grady married his first wife, Marjorie, in 1955 and had 4 children, Tracey, Scott, Pam and Lisa. He married his second wife, Ellenore, in 1974, enjoying 47 years of marriage with her.

Grady worked for the Royal Bank, and then for 30 years was the President and CEO of CAA Midwestern Ontario, where he was known as “Chief”. This job took him all over the world allowing him to enjoy his love of travelling and the game of golf in each place he visited.

He was a member of the Skål Association of travel and tourism and for years served the K-W community with the Kinsmen, Rotary, and on the board for Oktoberfest.

Grady had the unique ability to engage anyone in conversation and loved people well. He leaves behind a legacy of a strong, but quiet and confident faith in Christ. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
