Patricia "Pat" Lorimer

Obituary of Patricia "Pat" Anne Lorimer

Pat passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at home on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the age of 87 years.  Beloved wife of the late Don Lorimer (2011).  She is survived by her loving daughter Heather and son-in-law David Morton, her cherished grandchildren Cameron, Christopher and Alexander Morton and their partners Jasmine, Walker and Lindsay.  Pat is also survived by her adoring sister Mary McCormick and many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by three of her children - Carrie Anne (1960), Donald Jr. (1998) and Carolyn (2013).

Pat had a very successful career in real estate for 32 years.  She had completed her final house sale in July 2016 at age 81 when a stroke drastically changed her life.  This new journey for Pat was handled with strength, dignity and grace.

The family would like to thank, with all our love, Pat’s caregiver Rozica “Rosie” Radojicic, who provided such wonderful care for the past 6 ½ years and became a great friend. Her companionship gave Pat so much joy.  Thank you to Pat’s other caregiver, Zobeyda Lopez, for her kind and professional care.  We would also like to give our heartfelt thanks to the angels who work in the palliative care unit at Freeport for making sure Pat was comfortable and looking after her needs during her three month stay.  Special thanks to Sandy Zehr and Andrea Cohen for always being there for Pat and to Calvin Pike and Akuafo Agbenyega for their spiritual guidance that was so important in helping Pat prepare for the end of her life.

The last four months could not have been possible without the phone calls, text and email messages, meals, walks and the love and support of our family, friends and the “Zoomers”.  Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

The funeral will be held at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 131 Flax Mill Drive, Conestogo on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
