So sad to hear of Dave’s passing. Dave played an important role in my development during the early days of my career. God rest his soul, I’m glad to have had him as a friend for a lot of years.

Visiting Uncle Dave when I was 16 years old, I was amazed by the old Model A’s he had in his garage. He was restoring one and when he went around to show me the back I thought he was going to open the trunk. But he surprised me, just as he knew he would when he opened out a rumble seat. I was amazed! Someone would actually sit back there? He loved the two model A’s he had. One was already restored, the other partly done. He showed me the throttle on the steering column and went over every other part of the car he was so proud of. Remember, I’m only 16, a boy dreaming of his first car. I couldn’t have been more impressed with Uncle. My new car hero. That memory has stayed with me for the last 45 years, mixed in with his generous laugh and colourful words during rowdy family pinochle games. His eyes twinkled with humor and that laugh will truly be missed. Love you Uncle David - I know Uncle Keith, Uncle Gary and Dad are welcoming you as the fourth at the Table. Spelling them all out would be Grandma and Mom. Until we meet again, love from Dave.

My uncle Dave I will always remember that laugh. You and Aunt Rose were always welcoming every time I popped in for a chat. When we were young and our mom and Dad were on holidays you guys were our favorite people to stay with us. Thank you both for everything you've done for us and all the great memories. Love you

Aunt Rose;
My sincere condolences on the passing of Uncle Dave. He will be missed by all who knew him. Trying to think of something to say has not been easy. I remember when we were little and we would come for a visit when Mom & Dad would say we should get going then all of us kids would quickly lie on the any furniture we could find and pretend we were sleeping as we never liked to leave your place.
Uncle Dave said to me once when I was little do you want to play 52 pick up I fell for it because I didn't know any better as i was just a kid, but when we were old enough we got to play Black Out Bridge. We had some really good times and i will cherish them forever.
Love you & Miss you Uncle Dave

Aunt Rose,
So sorry to hear about the loss of uncle Dave. We have so many fond memories of meals on Kent Avenue. I will always remember him saying "Eat some more meat and potatoes." I know how much he cherished visits from all his nieces and nephews. He loved family and friends. He will certainly be missed by all of us. Take good care and know that you are in our deepest thoughts and prayers.
