Obituary of Hans Irrsack

Hans passed unexpectedly at his home in Kitchener at the age of 86.

He was survived by his daughter Linda, son Raymond, "adopted" granddaughter Gabriella, companion Karin and nieces and nephews in Germany.

Predeceased by his parents, brothers Bernard and Gerhart of Germany and companion Frida.

Hans was born in Germany and came to Canada in his twenties, settling in Kitchener until his passing. Baking was his profession and passion, and he operated a successful bakery in downtown Kitchener for decades. Hans enjoyed socializing with fellow Germans and was active at the Kitchener Concordia Club. He enjoyed a lovely German meal, beer, and a few dances at the club. Hans also loved playing cards, like Skat, Uno and Skip-Bo and was quite competitive. He spent many winters in Florida and enjoyed socializing, shuffleboard, bocce and soaking up the sun.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, December 19, 2022, From 2:00-4:00 pm.

Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date.
