Sorry to hear of Nelson’s passing. That’s a great photo. I haven’t thought of Nelson in quite some time, but I have very fond memories of his community spirit and involvement over the years we grew up in Enfield.
Nelson was always around helping with Boy Scouts, baseball, putting together the recreation area behind Enfield elementary with the other dads. I think Nelson was part of the Lion’s Club?
My biggest repeatable memory of your dad was his ability to absolutely demolish the largest stack of pancakes any single human being has ever consumed. Every year at the Boy Scouts pancake day fundraiser we would wait for him to come in and grab a tower of pancakes that would barely not topple over, eat them, and come back for more. I still can’t understand where he was putting them.
