Obituary of Wanda Gayle Duke

Wanda died peacefully on Friday, December 9,2022 at the age of 79 years, surrounded by the love of her family. Loving aunt of three nieces Lisa Dolson, Tammy Rowe and Sandra (Jack) Schauer and four nephews David (Charlotte) Dolson, Steven (Deborah) Dolson and Mark (Tracy) Wolfe. Our Aunt Wanda is also great aunt to 17 nieces and nephews and great-great aunt to an ever-expanding family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Robert Ross Duke (2014), her parents Alvin and Beaulah Wolfe, and her siblings Jean, Donna and Ross.; nephew Jim (Carol) Wolfe.

Wanda was born in Mitchell, Ontario during WWII and moved to Kitchener in her early 20’s. She was a dedicated volunteer for decades at Sunnyside Nursing Home, and until recently, an active member of Calvary United Church.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 2 – 4 p.m. and Monday, December 19, 2022 from 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. The celebration of Wanda’s life will follow the visitation in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday December 19, 2022 at 10:30 a.m., with a reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room.  Interment to follow at Williamsburg Cemetery Kitchener, at approximately 1:00 p.m.
