Obituary of Ann Hogben
Ann passed away peacefully in hospice at Freeport Hospital on January 4, 2023.
Ann has reunited with her late husband of 44 years, John “Hoppy” Hogben in Heaven. She is survived by sons Jeffrey, and David (Lori) Hogben. Grandson Logan Hogben. Brother Donald (Alicia) Filips, nephews Father Mark Filips and Ian Filips.
Predeceased by parents John and Olga Filips, sister Victoria, nephew Greg Filips. Dear friends Mae and John Samsal.
Ann was born in Kenora, ON, moving to Kitchener Waterloo in 1955. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she could often be seen tending to her garden or at Victoria bowl for her women’s bowling league. She enjoyed game shows, always ready for a round of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune.
Special thanks to the angels at the hospice of Freeport Hospital for the care and devotion they showed Ann during her time there and the staff at Winston Park.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday Jan 9, 2023, from 6:00-8:00pm. And Tuesday January 10, 2023, from 12:00-12:45pm. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday January 10, 2023, at 1:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Father Murray McDermott, C.R. Reception to follow.
Interment will take place at Williamsburg Cemetery.
