My sincere condolences to Willa and Family. You are in my thought and prayers. I've been a neighbour of Vanderleeuw's for 30 years. James truly had a heart of gold. Whenever I saw him. He would greet you with the welcoming smile and friendly hello. James was the kind of person who always offered help anyone in need. I thank him for all the years of friendship and it truly my pleasure to known him.

My sincere condolences Aunt Wilma, Leslie, James, Christie, Sherrie and your families. Whenever I think of Uncle Jim it always makes me smile remembering him pulling up on his bike with his golf clubs. Couldn’t believe it, that day I will never forget we had a lot of fun. I regret not spending more time with him, just an all around wonderful guy. The world will miss him.

Such a great friend and wonderful person. Our relationship grew so well from the day I hired Jim almost 30 years ago to the golf game we had in October this year.
He is and always will be sadly missed.
Much love and blessings to the wonderful family he's left here for now.

Uncle Jim will be missed! My memories of him will always be a strong, good man who was always smiling. He brought me as a kid to meet Canadian Golfing legend Moe Norman, helped me with career discussions along my journey, and best of all drove 250 kilometres on his motorbike to Golf in our family Golf event in Blenheim a few years back! Condolences to Leslie, James, Christie, Sherri, Aunt Wilma and the rest of the family

Cathy and I extend our condolences to the entire Vanderleeuw family. It was good to see both Jim and Wilma at my Mother’s recent funeral. I was always impressed by Jim’s endeavours and very lucky to be a passenger on one his flights. Rest In Peace Jim… John & Cathy Meyer.

Condolences to Wilma and family on their loss. I flew on the Argus with Jim in the 1960s, and made one or two memorable trips to Holland with him. He was so proud of identifying himself in his RCAF uniform as we toured Amsterdam, and surprised many a salesperson when he responded to them in Dutch. Jim was a very affable crew mate, and it was a pleasure serving with him. Attached is a 1968 photo of our crew with Jim in Thule, Greenland. RIP, Jim.

Sending our deepest condolences to your family. We are thinking of you. We were lucky enough to spend a few hours with Jim, Wilma and Sherri back in November around a fire, sharing stories and having a few laughs on a beautiful evening. We are so thankful for that time together. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Dear Wilma and Family:
I am deeply sorry to learn of Jim's passing and wish I had the right words, just know I care.
My favourite memory of Jim (Jamie) is a picture of our "guys" from Winnipeg training days (63/64) standing at the bar with a drink and cigar in their hands. So handsome. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Without exception, every time we met up with Jim, he was positive and cheerful. Without question, he is really going to be missed, but never forgotten, by all who knew him.

My Dear Sherri,
Having lost my dad when I was very young, I readily understand your sense of loss. Men like your dad came to this country and built it, made it better. Your dad was ready, willing and able to defend it. He reminds me of my dad--very handsome and a whole lot of fun!
I know you will be a tremendous source of support and comfort for your mom and your entire family
You are very important to me and to us -- take care and God bless,
