Sadly, but with a sense of gratitude, we say goodbye to Gloria Grace Gallian who was freed from her earthly ailments and is now resting in the arms of Jesus. Gloria was called home from Grand River Hospital, Freeport Campus, on Thursday, January 19, 2023.
Missing her is her sister Caroline, brother and sister-in-law Stan and Sylvia, sister-in-law Janette, nieces and nephew Sonia and Steven Kitchen, Shane and Heather Gallian, Dawn and Mike Basso, and seven great nieces and nephews.
Gloria is predeceased by her parents Herman and Laura (Gottfried) Gallian, brother Harry, and two brothers in infancy.
Gloria was a manager at Westmount Pharmacy for many years and she also managed Emphasis Cards and Gifts. She enjoyed handiwork, particularly crocheting. After retirement Gloria made thousands of happy faces. These happy faces were donated to the children’s ward at Grand River Hospital. The bright yellow faces hung on the IV poles and then went home with the children.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff in emerge and on the 7th floor at St. Mary’s hospital and on the 3rd floor at Freeport. Your care and kindness have been greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Gloria’s friend Peggy who has been a source of constant support and care for her and the family.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. Reception to immediately follow the service and a private family interment will follow.
