Obituary of Theresa Nessner
With extreme sadness we announce the passing of Theresa Nessner on Sunday February 12, 2023, at Highview Residence, Kitchener.
Theresa was born December 12, 1930, to J. Frank Mens and Delphine Meeus.
Survived by her husband of 68 years, “Andy” Andreas Nessner. Loving mother of James Nessner, Robert “Bob” and Jean Nessner and Elaine and John Al. Proud grandmother of Jackie Nessner, Andrew (Kendal) Nessner, Theresa (Andrew) Mclachlan, Johanna Al, Robert “Burt” (Caroline) Nessner, Josephine (Aaron) Czech and Simone Al. Delighted great grandma of Austin, Nicholas, Tyson, and Jacob Nessner, Isla, Emmett, Lincoln, Rayland Nessner, Norah, Lilah, Ethan, Amelia Mchlachlan, Cecilia, Winston Nessner, Sully, Frankie, and Leo Czech. She will be missed by her niece Joan (Barry) Parkinson.
Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Cindy Nessner, sisters Anna DeJonckheere and Bertha Moyaert and her brother Louis Mens.
Theresa travelled extensively with family and friends. She had luncheons with her “Gourmet group”, checking out all the newest restaurants around. She also volunteered as a shopper and driver for seniors. There was “club”; a group of eight women who got together monthly for sixty years. Theresa enjoyed playing bridge and was always eager to learn more of the game.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St S., Waterloo on Saturday February 25, 2023, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. The Memorial Service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow.
Theresa will be interred at Dehli Cemetery in the spring.
