Obituary of Mary Brnjas
Passed away peacefully at Innisfree House with her family at her side on Thursday, February 23, 2023, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Brnjas (2015). Loving mother of Anna Suljak (late Mijo), Joe Brnjas (Joann), Diane Padgett (Jim) and Steve Brnjas (Ruth).
Mary will be sadly missed by her 17 grandchildren-Michael (Melanie), John (Ninetta), Mary (Paul), Stephanie (Andrew), Jennifer, Kathy (Dave), Lindsay, Jonathan (Heather), Matthew (Angela), Christopher (Rachel), Michael (Bailey), Sarah, Timothy, Rachel, Rebecca, Michelle(Wes), Chris (Martina) and 22 great-grandchildren – Georgia, Julia, Adam, Layla, Charlie, Kennedy, Koston, Conner, James, Grace, Isaac, Malachi, Eden, Levi, Matteo, Deacon, Halle, Nevin (Sarina), Isaiah, Silas, Henry and Sloane.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, John Brnjas (Carol) and family, nephew Eddie Sebalj (Theresa) and family, Monica (late Nick Sebalj) and family.
Predeceased also by a son in infancy, her parents, Steve and Franca Ljubic; brothers, Pero, Janko, and Aldo Tuti; sister Danica Sebalj; son-in-law, Mijo Suljak (2018); nephews, Frank and Nick Sebalj; three great-granddaughters, Megan, Caroline and Victoria Suljak and granddaughter, Samantha Flannigan.
Mary’s family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday March 3, 2023 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. (Vigil Prayers 8 p.m.)
Prayers will be offered on Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. from St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church, 29 Midland Avenue, Kitchener., with Father Vivek Trindade as celebrant. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
