May 21, 1931 – March 2, 2023

Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Anne Moffatt (nee McKillop) left this life to join her husband, Don, whom she had dearly missed for the last 5 years. She was the beloved mother of her 3 daughters – Sue (Rob Brison), Barb (Doug Dunlop) and Nancy; proud grandmother of Meg (Scott Symes) and Mike; and delighted great-grandmother of Jack and Evan (Symes). She was pre-deceased by her brother, John McKillop.

Mom was the first woman to graduate from the Honours Business Administration Program at the University of Western Ontario. She and Dad were classmates. They moved frequently in the first 10 years of their marriage before settling in Toronto. She enjoyed a full-time career in accounting for 30 years while giving her remarkable energy and many talents to our family, friends, church and community. She and Dad cherished their summers with good friends and extended family at their Bruce Beach cottage. She was a master of the thoughtful gift and timely offer of help. We wonder how she did it all!

Mom had a deep and private faith. She was perceptive, witty, determined and wise. She supported and encouraged us to do our best; to “think of the other person first”; and to have grateful hearts.  We were blessed when she was with us and are blessed now by her memory.

We sincerely thank Dr. S. Saban for her dedicated care.

A celebration of Mom’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday March 24, at Knox Presbyterian Church, 50 Erb St. W., Waterloo and live streamed at knoxwaterloo.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Waterloo would be appreciated and may be arranged through www.erbgood.com.
